About as
Postage Prepayment Impressions Development Directorate of USEP "Ukrposhta" is the only enterprise in Ukraine
to fill needs of state in postage stamps, covers and postcards with stamps. History of modern Ukrainian stamps
dates back to proclaiming Ukraine as an independent state. The first postage stamp "500th Anniversary of the Ukrainian
Cossackdom" was issued on March 1, 1992.
Ukrainian postage stamps and pre-stamped covers are printed at one specialized enterprise
"Integrated Printing Plant "Ukraina" for production of securities".
Since the Declaration of Independence over 800 postage stamps have been issued.
Millions of decorative covers and postcards with stamps and without stamps as well as other philatelic
products are issued every year.

Achievements of Ukrainian stamps:

2002 – small sheet "Flowers of Ukraine" of 2000 won the 3d place in the 7th World
Stamp Cup (France);

2005 – beautiful stamp "Merry Christmas!" of 2003 won the 3d place in the
International philatelic contest "The Most Beautiful Stamp of the World 2003"
(Austria);

2005 – stamp "Games of XXVIII Olympiad in Athens 2004", issued in commemoration
of Summer Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 won Silver medal on the occasion of the Prix Olympia 2004 (Switzerland);

2006 – block "Hetman Regalia and Personal Things of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi"
of 2004 won the 3d place in the contest "Grand Prix de l'Exposition WIPA" (Austria);
|

June 2006 – book "Postage Stamps of Ukraine of 2004" – Bronze medal at the
World Philatelic Exhibition "Washington 2006" (USA);
|
|
-
|
September 2006 – stamp Europa "Integration as Seen by Young People" was
voted the best stamp Europa among 48 European postal administrations.

2006 - a se-tenant of two stamps according to the program “EUROPA” on the theme “Gastronomy”: "Plate of Borsch", "Vegetables" was awarded with the prize “Narbut”.

2007 – beginning of the new project “Personalized stamp”.

2007 – postage block “Ukrainian Folk Costumes” 2006 took the 8th position in the annual competition for the best stamp of Europe, which is conducted by the magazine “Deutsche Briefmarken-Revue”.

2007 - a beautiful souvenir stamp sheet “Fifth and Sixth Issues of Definitive Postage Stamps of Ukraine 2001-2006” became the winner of the prize “Narbut”.

|
2007 - in the Sixth Chinese Annual Competition for the Best Foreign Postage Stamp the stamp sheet of 12 stamps “Traditional Head-Dresses of Ukrainian Women” was awarded with a prize in the category “for the best printing”.

-
|
2008 - Block "Cossack Ukraine" got the 7th place in the competition "The most beautiful stamp in the world in 2006" held by the organizing committee of WIPA (Wien, Austria).
